Ever since Qatar has become the first Middle Eastern country to host such a prestigious event like the World Cup, many are speculating potential security breaches and are discussing the levels of security that can be reached prior to it. With the preparation to host the FIFA World Cup in 2022, Qatar has issued a framework which makes cybersecurity and privacy top priority. This framework is aimed at a national level for all governmental and critical sectors, businesses and intuitions which should implement it and adopt it by 2022. Living in a modern interconnected digital age brings many advanced potential breaches and all sectors - from health to media and from finance to education - have to join forces to investigate and discuss ways of protection, cultivating an environment where information, ideas and knowledge are protected. In the first MOSECO’s panel discussion, experts from different fields joined to give comments and discuss cybersecurity protection, vulnerabilities, trends in cybersecurity, in order to be ready to prevent breaches and recover in case they happen.
