Is Drone Detection a reality?
During our exhibition in the current Milipol Qatar 2021 event, MOSECO has presented solutions suitable for early detection and prevention of drones trespassing. Our partners from Rohde & Schwarz have given a presentation of their latest detection solution gear called ARDRONIS. Detecting drones early is crucial in many situations, helping protect facilities in the initial stages of attacks. Our ARDRONIS detects RC activity even before a drone takes off, and, in this way, it interferes with the navigation of the drone. Automatic threat alerts are one of the critical features of ARDRONIS. It is operated with minimal training, and once it identifies a drone as a threat, it immediately notifies the operator through alerts or SMS alarms.
How does ARDRONIS actually work?
In case ARDRONIS identifies radio signals are being transmitted, special measures of protection are automatically taken by creating an invisible shield around the desired facility. This shield prevents drones from entering any premises with a radius of up to 4 kilometers and can interfere by jamming the signal and take control of the drone. With additional equipment, the range can be scaled as desired, including upgrades for radars, cameras, and detectors.
